I have scrubs! Well just the bottoms, but nevertheless I have scrubs :) I need to order the tops though. The place we went to... well, let's just say it looked waaay iffy. There were bars on the windows and doors, everything was in plastic bags, like I was on Harwin (those of you who know, know what I am talking about, and I wont explain any further).
Anyways, I got over it, and asked the guy working for some help with sizing and fit. Seriously, who knew that scrubs had so many different fits... boot cut, flare, cargo, unisex! He was so helpful, and I ended up getting three bottoms. I found the top I would like, but need to get them ordered since he had none in my size in white. They are so soft too!!! I was wearing the bottoms yesterday at my sister's. Seriously, I don't think I will be able to go back to real clothes ever again after wearing scrubs.
In other news, the trip for scrubs meant a trip to Houston. I saw family, and never have I been so happy to see them. Mostly my grandfather. In the last few years, he has been in really bad shape. He underwent bipass surgery, and having lots of problems walking with his leg. It was always swollen, and now getting to the point that he was taking Tylenol with codeine in it, still not relieving any pain. I could tell he was growing depressed and withdrawn. Yesterday, while at my sister's, he called over there. That was the first big shocker, he was the one to call! He never calls, ever. Then, while talking with him, the tone in his voice sounded... happy. He went on to tell me that he had been doing physical therapy and exercises, and that his pains were gone. This is such a miracle, really to hear him doing so well.
Today we saw them, and it was the same thing. He was so excited, and showed me the exercises his physical therapist prescribed. He has been doing them 2x a day, every day. To see him walking around without a cane, and to witness him bend over without screaming in pain is such a blessing.
