A few of you posted comments on my blog about the sharpie incident (scroll down if you missed it), so I thought I'd address it in a whole new blog. Surprisingly, I did not freak out at all. All I could do was laugh! It was kinda funny how proud she was. I looked around and saw it on the coat closet door and said "Oh lookie, you even did it on the door.." and she was kind enough to remind me and say "Oh mama! I did it on the carpet too :D! Oh, and over here, and here... OH! I did daddy's puter (computer) too!"
She was REALLY proud of herself, so what could I do? So for now, Picasso's art work is staying up. I don't care much for the couches, and it's an apartment, so I dont care that she did it on the walls/door either. It's nothing a little paint wont fix thankfully. Anthony got it off the TV, vaccum and computer real easy..
TIP: Dry erase marker takes sharpie out of hard surfaces that wipe dry erase marker! Seriously, the TV, vaccum and computer were all saved because of that.
Alcohol, no matter what anyone says, did not work on the furniture. But like I said, it's crap furniture anyways, so I don't care. I think I may have convinced Anthony for us to buy new furniture because of the incident.
As for the toddler... While I laughed at the whole thing, I had to teach her a lesson too (wouldn't want her doing that all over again). Soooo, she sat in timeout, and made her pay for the damages... literally. Along the way of her decorating she found a total of $0.67, so I told her she had to give it to the church as her penance. Normally I would have had her help me clean up a mess she made, but since I was using rubbing alcohol she had to sit in timeout while I attempted to clean it.
