I always wanted to be accepted part of a group. It wasn't until I became an adult that I found some of my very closest friends in our local mom's group.
The best acceptance of all however came in the mail today. Today, I am officially accepted into nursing school! I am going to start my journey towards RN certification. I am so excited! I can't even think straight.
Crazy thing I found out too... drs. hold on to your records for a really REALLY long time. I called my pediatrician's office from when I was a child, some 15-20 years ago. They still have all my records, most importantly, my shot record (THANKFULLY!). Tomorrow, I'm calling my pediatrician from 25 years ago. Yes, you read that right... the doctor that took care of me straight outta the womb! I'm hoping they have record of a varicella shot, or have in my files when I got chicken pox in 1983, because that would suffice as well for nursing school.
Tomorrow I also have to get a new dose of diptheria and tetanus. I also have to rush to get a physical, my last hep. B vaccine, and CPR certification for healthcare providers. Woo! I am just all over the place now that I got my acceptance letter! Oh yeah, I have to do a pee test for a drug screen as well. So much to do!
Thank you God for giving such a wonderful opportunity to help other people. I have worked hard for this, have had tons of support from family and friends, but ultimately know this couldn't be done without having faith in God that He would provide me with the knowledge, patience, and heart to do this.
